Shelf Life

Agents with persistent memory rarely fail by forgetting; they fail by acting on a fact that used to be true. Shelf Life gives every remembered fact a source, a last-confirmed date and a trust window based on what kind of fact it is. Before memory is injected into a prompt, a gate drops expired facts, flags an old fact that a newer one contradicts, and tells the agent which facts to re-check. Move the date below to watch an ops agent's memory age.

What to try

  1. Drag the date forward about 35 days and watch the GPU price fact expire and fall out of the prompt.
  2. Click the "staging server" rows: the newer address supersedes the old one, which is flagged even though it is still inside its window.
  3. Switch the policy to "Inject with a re-check warning" and compare the prompt text.
  4. Push past 200 days and only the slow-changing user preference survives.
